Vice President of Brand Experience, Nitrogen
We’re on a mission to empower the world to invest fearlessly. This bold mission is only made possible by working with emerging businesses and independent advisors around the country. We do this by creating innovative technology that democratizes access to advice and empowers thousands of individual advisors (and millions of their clients) to thrive.
One of the ways we highlight the incredible work our world-class customers are doing is through our Advisor Appreciation Awards. These awards are the annual recognition where we publicly celebrate being on the side of the independent advisor and call attention to those who inspire our work and guide all of us towards a better future.
This year’s class is no different, featuring a who’s who of emerging leaders behind the Fearless Investing Movement.
What are the requirements to win? This nomination is a bit different. Advisors didn’t apply, submit a nomination, or even ask to be considered. The entire process is completed by Nitrogen employees, from the nominations to the selection. Every December, we ask our customer-facing teams to nominate users and the firms they have loved working with that year. When you consider that our customer-facing teams, on average, interact with 200 advisors every weekday and expand that out over a calendar year of interactions, you can see what a task this can be! We gather together all of the nominations and, as a team, vote on who should win. We agreed on 24 winners to shape out an impressive 2021 class this year.
While every winner is unique in the value they bring, it is always so affirming to see how they fit into our mission of empowering the world to invest fearlessly. Here are a few of those initial submissions:
“Derek understands where the profession is at now and where it should go.”
“Dasarte is leading change with his actions and personal character. He’s building the future.”
“Every interaction with Penny challenges us all to be better. She is kind, driven, and someone I deeply admire.”
For every nomination, there is a story, an interaction, a moment where we had the privilege of connecting with an advisor. These moments have made us better than we were before. Just as they educate and inspire the profession, my heart is that all readers learn more about each winner and leave encouraged for the future.
